Kevin J. Schellhaas, D.D.S., is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental team, located at 343 Metairie Road, Metairie, LA 70005. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring a smooth workflow in the dental office, and assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental systems, infection control protocols, and medical documentation practices. This position is available to be filled immediately. Starting pay will be based on experience in the field. Responsibilities will include: assist dentist during examination and procedures, prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control standards, take dental x-rays while adhering to safety protocols, maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPPA regulations, manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups using Dentrix, provide support in prosthodontics procedures, insuring patient comfort and safety.
