A private company that provides medical disability examination and evaluation services to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Opportunity:
Need is on a PRN basis, ongoingMust be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&RTwo (2) options for coverage Travel and perform exams at leased facility or schedule Veterans within your own practiceOption to work days(4-hours) and/or full days(8-hours)No weekends and no call!One-Time non-treatment C&P exams + separation health assessmentsExams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, evaluating traumatic brain injury. Exams will be a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.No prescribing, no treatmentQuick credentialing & onboardingUse of Goniometer requiredFamiliar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio requiredProficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.Own personal laptop (NO MACs)Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)Reporting/DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion - no narrative report. End product is completion of standardized form(s).Evaluations to be completed in provider portalRecord review is required in most casesFollow up administrative work will be required on a regular basis (addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics)Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
