A 342-bed regional referral teaching hospital- named a Top 100 Hospital nationally- easy access to all specialists, lab, radiology, pharmacy, and many other services.Level II Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU)- staffed 24/7 by Pediatric Hospitalists & NICU Nurses with access to an on-site blood bankLevel III Trauma Center offering post-graduate education programs on site, including Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Residency Programs, Cardiology Fellowship, and Palliative Care FellowshipOpportunity:Join the team of 3 full-time Pediatric HospitalistsSchedule negotiable/flexible- 3 - 48 hr shifts & 1 24 hr shift in a 28-day cycle.Avg daily volume of 3-4 normal nursery, 3-4 NICU, up to 8 pediatric patientsTeaching responsibilities of residents and medical studentsGraduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school is required.Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program is required.Must be able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges.Above average communication skillsAbility to work with a teamQualify for federal school loan forgiveness programCompensation:
