Job DescriptionWe are searching for an Inpatient Staff Nursesomeone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide nursing care to patients by assessing, planning, educating, implementing, and evaluating age-appropriate care that incorporates family-centered principles and cost-effective care.Think you've got what it takes?Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssists in the collection of patient/family data that may include biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, and environmental information per site protocolCollects and documents vital signs, height/weight and reason for visit Prepares patient for examination per site protocolAssists provider, as directed, during treatments, examinations and testing as directed by provider and within scope of siteAdministers medication and immunizations as directed by physician per site protocol Documents administration of medication and immunizations in the medical record per site protocolProvides patient/family education as instructed by the physician or site protocolDocuments such education in the medical recordCoordinates referrals Triages presenting patient complaint per site protocol Verifies provider order and patient per site protocol Collects and processes specimen according to manufacturer's instructions and using proper technique Demonstrates service philosophies to patients and familiesAs part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.Skills & RequirementsBachelor's degree in nursing or one of the following: Associate degree in nursing/related field accepted by the Texas Board of Nursing for the purposes of obtaining and maintaining an RN license with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and a signed agreement Technical Diploma in Nursing with acceptance or current enrollment in a BSN program and signed agreement Must be currently enrolled in A Nursing Bridge Program working toward an MSN. Verified BSN-equivalency or a signed agreement is required.
