Alsum Transport, Inc, a subsidiary of Alsum Farms & Produce, Inc., is looking for a full-time Service Technician! Alsum Farms & Produce, Inc. is a grower, packer, and shipper of potatoes & onions located in Friesland, WI. As a Service Technician, you would perform routine and emergency maintenance of Alsum fleet equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Install and test products, equipment, and machinery and provide instructions to drivers on proper usageUse diagnostic tools to identify and resolve or repair issuesInspect various parts of trucks and trailers, including brake systems, wheel bearings, and steering mechanisms toensure they are in the proper condition to operate effectivelyFollows a schedule for recommended replacement of fleet vehiclesFollows procedures, policies, and safety protocolsCollaborates with Managers and other Service TechniciansPerform other related duties as necessary or assignedEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in the industry preferredPrevious experience as a diesel mechanic preferredNeed to have complete set of tools (Specialized tools are owned by Alsum Transport)Job Details:Job Type: Regular Full-TimeJob Schedule: Monday through Friday; 6:00am to 2:30pmWork Location: Friesland, WI
Required Skills and Abilities:Self-motivated and able to function as part of a teamAbility to utilize Human Resource Information System (HRIS) softwareDemonstrates time management, problem-solving, and organizational skillsAbility to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service trucking fleetComfortable working in awkward positions or cramped spacesExperience with or ability to learn company's EAM systemValid state commercial driver's license with acceptable motor vehicle recordPhysical and Environmental Demands:Various repetitive movements. Good manual dexterity to perform required dutiesExposure to airborne particles or fumesMust be able to lift heavy equipment and parts regularly, up to 75 poundsMust wear safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas
