Alsum Farms & Produce Inc., a grower, packer, and shipper of potatoes & onions located in Friesland, WI is looking for a full-time Forklift Operator! You will be responsible for driving a forklift in a safe manner to move perishable produce to designated areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Safely operate powered industrial machinery to ensure product is moved to correct locationRegularly inspect forklift equipment and notify maintenance of any issuesMaintain awareness of possible hazardsKeep up to date on training requirements and forklift operating proceduresPerform other related duties as necessary or assignedEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent requiredForklift experience preferred, certification will be requiredJob Details:Job Type: Regular Full-TimeJob Schedule: Monday through Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm; some Saturdays may be requiredWork Location: Friesland, WI
Required Skills and Abilities:Willingness to learn system of operationEfficiency minded; safety consciousThorough knowledge of warehouse policies and proceduresSelf-motivated and able to function as part of a teamValid state motor vehicle license with acceptable motor vehicle recordAbility to utilize Human Resource Information System (HRIS) software
