We are looking for a full-time Senior Robotics Software Engineer whose work will help us improve the capabilities of our robot control stack which works closely with our state-of-the-art perception and powerful adaptive decision-making algorithms. Our AI software products endow industrial robots with the level of autonomy needed to perform an extensive variety of useful tasks and integrate tightly with our customers’ complex software environments. As a Senior Robotics Software Engineer, you will lead the motion planning and controls efforts at OSARO. You will help optimize our software architecture and code to ensure the best performance for our algorithms and therefore robots. You will collaborate with every engineering team from Hardware to Infrastructure to Machine Learning to Frontend. Additionally, you will act as a mentor for some of our less experienced, but very eager, engineers. Lead development of motion planning and control systems for industrial robotic manipulators Architect, design, and implement software interfaces with industrial robots to obtain optimal real-time performance Lead software design discussions and code reviews for robot control algorithms Work closely with robotics and controls engineers to design, implement and test robotic algorithms (integrations, path planning, kinematics, dynamics, controls, etc.). Build robust, production-ready code for near-term deployment Develop forward-looking advanced controllers and control algorithms for robotic arms to make our system increasingly performant, robust, and general Experience and Skills You'll Need

BS in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field 5+ years of experience in one or more robot control areas, such as: parameterizing control frameworks that balance tradeoffs between flexibility, speed, and accuracy; trajectory optimization; inverse kinematics; motion planning; and robotic integration. Proficient Rust or C++ development skills, including software design and architecture Work experience with industrial robotic arms A track record of successfully designing, building, and maintaining complex, real-time, multi-process software systems Deep knowledge in robotic system design, integration, debugging, verification, and testing, especially for industrial robotic manipulators Developing interface with low-level robotic hardware controllers Bonus if you have

MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field Familiarity with algorithms to generate collision-free time-optimal manipulator trajectories Experience working with robotic sensors including cameras, force sensors, and grippers Experience working in an Agile development environment $160,000 - $190,000 a year

Actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, and experience. In addition to a base salary, this role is also eligible for benefits and equity.
