About the role:

As a Senior Accountant at Nirvana, you will play a pivotal role in managing our financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will work closely with the finance team to maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our organization while expanding your accounting expertise.

What you'll do:Prepare required schedules to manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting (e.g. Revenue, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Prepaids, Cash)Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statementsOversee and assist in managing the tax function with our external tax consultantsAssist in the maintenance of all accounting and finance software (Netsuite, Brex, BILL, Navan, etc. ) and other financial systems to improve efficiency and accuracyProvide audit readiness support as the company prepares for its first external auditDevelop and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirementsAbout you:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred2-4 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting experience preferred but not requiredStrong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting requirementsProficiency in NetSuite preferred but not requiredExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasksExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in our San Francisco office 3+ days per weekBenefits:

We set our salary ranges using compensation data from companies similar to our stage and size. For this role, the estimated salary range for this position is $118,000 - $135,000. The actual base salary will vary depending on multiple factors unique to each candidate, including location, job-related knowledge, transferable skills, work experience and our assessment of your level during the interview process.
