Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift (3x12-Hour, 19:00-07:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: 2 years of experience required License: Active MD or Compact License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: Accepts first-time travelers, flu vaccine required with no exemptions Job Description: - Seeking an ICU RN for night shifts with self-scheduling and every other weekend commitment. - Manage a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio in a 10-bed unit. - Handle patient diagnoses including: - DKA - COPD - Acute hypoxic/hypercarbic respiratory failure - Cholecystitis - Pneumonia - Sepsis - Cardiac arrest - Hypertensive emergency - Ischemic stroke - ETOH withdrawal - Acute renal failure - Pancreatitis - Small/Large bowel obstruction - Atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular rate - GI bleed - Diverticulitis with or without perforation - Floating within the hospital may be required, with travelers prioritized to float. - A thorough background check with highlighted known background hits is necessary. - Completion of 24 hours of orientation is required, not billable. - Candidates should submit requests for time off at the initial submission, with no alterations allowed post-offer. - Provide two satisfactory professional references, including one from a supervisor/manager and one from a charge RN. Additional Information: - Candidates must be ready to visit the lab within the first 96 hours post-contract signing to avoid a delay in start date. - Ensure readiness for compliance processes and orientation as required.
