We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position that offers the unique opportunity to work on exciting projects in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing project plans to ensure the smooth functioning of our manufacturing processes. This role requires a hands-on approach, with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving. The Manufacturing Project Engineer will work closely with the production team, ensuring the highest levels of efficiency and productivity are achieved.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement project plans, ensuring they are in line with company objectives and customer requirements.
  2. Utilize mechanical and electrical engineering skills to design, evaluate, and improve manufacturing systems and processes.
  3. Apply knowledge of Manufacturing Operations Management to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
  4. Use Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate process defects, thereby improving quality and reducing costs.
  5. Program PLCs to control machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  6. Use CAD software to create detailed designs and models for manufacturing processes.
  7. Estimate costs for projects and prepare detailed budgets, taking into account materials, labor, and other factors.
  8. Develop economical manufacturing procedures, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and procurement, to ensure project objectives are met.
  10. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, using problem-solving skills and engineering knowledge.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  3. Proven experience with Manufacturing Operations Management, Six Sigma, PLC Programming, CAD, and cost estimation.
  4. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
  6. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  8. Proficiency in using computer software and applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  9. Certification in Six Sigma or a similar quality management methodology is preferred.
  10. Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in manufacturing technology.
