An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced Superintendent to join our progressive team in the Construction industry. This position is perfect for a seasoned professional who thrives in high-pressure environments and is passionate about construction management. The ideal candidate must be proficient in MS Project, willing to travel, and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. This is a highly collaborative position that involves working closely with various teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle, including initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure.
  2. Develop and implement project work plans and review as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  3. Identify construction issues to be resolved through site surveys for potential locations.
  4. Conduct onsite inspections to ensure compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
  5. Supervise, mentor, and lead project team members, fostering a collaborative working environment.
  6. Manage relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders, ensuring open and regular communication.
  7. Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
  8. Implement quality control programs and safety measures.
  9. Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or a similar role.
  3. Proficiency in MS Project, construction management software, and standard office applications.
  4. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and guide teams.
  5. Strong understanding of the construction industry, including in-depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
  6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  7. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
  8. Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  9. Willingness to travel as required for project needs.
  10. A valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  11. Certification in Construction Management or related field would be an added advantage.
