We are a boutique tax and accounting firm dedicated to providing personalized financial solutions to individuals and businesses. We specialize in tax preparation, tax management services, accounting & bookkeeping services, and business creation/start up services for small to mid-sized organizations across a wide range of industries. As experts, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and strategic guidance to help our clients navigate the complexities of the tax landscape with ease.

Our clients range from start up businesses to companies who’s revenue is in the $100,000 to $10 Million range. We currently have about 700 clients and are looking to expand. Our clients look to us for everything from small 1040’s, audit, financial statement preparation, compilations, reviews, and more. We also service them by providing bookkeeping and advisory services. We handle the simple bookkeeping services and beyond, all to support our clients financial integrity & success. We offer flexibility, autonomy, a collaborative work environment, and seasonal hours!

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Seasonal Accountant to join our team during our busy season. As a key contributor to our accounting department, you will assist with tax preparation, reviews, compilations, and bookkeeping. This is a great opportunity to apply your accounting expertise in a dynamic, fast-paced environment at our CPA firm. The role will involve working with individual and business clients across various industries.

Tax Preparation Responsibilities:

• Prepare individual, business, and partnership tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Assist in gathering and organizing financial data from clients to facilitate tax return preparation.
• Analyze and resolve tax issues, ensuring accuracy and thorough documentation.

Reviews & Compilations Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statement reviews and compilations for businesses.
• Conduct limited verification of client financial information and prepare concise reports.
• Ensure reports comply with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant standards.

Bookkeeping Responsibilities:

• Manage client bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
• Record and reconcile financial transactions.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting for clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred, but not required.
• Proven experience in tax preparation, audit, reviews, and compilations.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and accounting best practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, tax software).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Schedule:

Seasonal position from February to April, ideally 30-40 hours/week. Would also love to have part time support in August, September & October. Seasonal summer projects could be made available as well if of interest, but individual is welcome to take summers off if preferred.

Flexible scheduling options, including full-time or part-time availability.
