The four pillars that guide our work are performance, innovation, service, and care for the world around us.Our dynamic manufacturing team in Longview, TX is seeking a motivated individual to join our team in the role of Quality Technician. This position is responsible for randomly selecting and analyze data from production and supplier samples. Communicate analysis to appropriate personnel and maintain the Quality System for compliance. Involved in daily and/or monthly Safety audits of equipment and personnel.Responsibilities: Basic understanding of computers and lab equipment.Responsible for initiating and implement systems to improve "Quality System".Responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operation of the machine is consistent with the policies and procedures which make up the Quality System.Continuously improve the process as an individual and as a team memberEnsures all environmental standards and requirements are metEnsure that you are working safely and following all environmental procedures, and that your co-workers are doing the same.Performs inspections per Quality ProcedureKeeps the area clean and organized.Completes all required tracking forms (Inspections and checklists)Sets the example of safe operation by following established safety guidelines; Follows established safety guidelines; holds self and others accountableInitiates and supports improvement initiativesOther duties as instructed by Plant Manager or Production ManagerTrained in Quality System and Internal Auditing and be able to train others within the facility.Familiar with all lab equipment and understand the data associated with the testing.Keeping area clean and safe.Other duties as instructed by Supervisor, Lead, Production /or Plant ManagerComplete verification and validation activities in IPL's Food Safety Plan as determined by the Food Safety Management System and adhere to the program.
