Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator who will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our databases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management and administration, with expertise in various database technologies. They will work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure the reliability and scalability of our database systems.
Responsibilities:Install, configure, and maintain database software.Create and maintain database schemas, tables, indexes, and views.Perform database upgrades, patches, and migrations as required.Monitor database performance and optimize queries for efficiency.Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures.Develop and maintain database backup and recovery plans.Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schemas.Provide technical support and guidance to users and developers.Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in database administration.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role.Proficiency in one or more database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.Strong knowledge of database design, normalization, and optimization.Experience with database performance tuning and monitoring tools.Solid understanding of database security principles and best practices.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) are a plus.
