The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School and UMass Memorial Medical Center is seeking a dynamic Electrophysiologist Cardiology Section Chief.

UMass Memorial Center is a tertiary-care teaching hospital with active programs in all aspects of cardiovascular medicine, cardiac surgery, and structural heart disease. The UMass EP program is a very successful high volume clinical programs performing over 3,500 total EP procedures per year, including 550 ablations, 570 device implants including Watchman procedures. The EP Fellowship programs currently hosts 2 fellows per year.

The ideal candidate will be a mid-career individual with a proven academic and clinical track record and/or clinician scientist background. The candidate will be expected to spend 20% their clinical time in the outpatient setting and 80% of their clinical time working in the EP lab, device interrogation and performing consults. There will be protected time for the candidate to devote to program development, quality initiatives and teaching/mentoring/research activities.

Candidate must possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills and be able to maintain a level of professional acumen beyond a high level of clinical skills

Candidates with a record of strong academic program development and research are invited to apply.

Must be a board-certified cardiologist and completed fellowship training in cardiac electrophysiology.

The successful candidate will get an commensurate academic appointment as Associate/Full Professor based on achievements and level of experience.
