Additionally, the Insurance Consulting Director takes a lead role in managing and presenting insurance analyses to clients and their advisors as well as serving as a life insurance subject matter expert.RESPONSIBILITIESIdentify information needed to develop client ready presentations using financial analyses based on COLI and other investment-based productsWorking independently, prepare proposals for COLI and executive benefits marketing to for-profit and nonprofit corporationsProvide expert insurance analysis support to M Member Firms, Marketers, and advisors (includes but is not limited to analysis and technical solutions in the design of executive benefit plans and COLI financing strategies)Using a variety of software programs, including Microsoft Excel and life insurance carrier software, create COLI illustrations and financial exhibits to project earnings, cash flows, yields, and internal rates of return of COLIComplete analysis of COLI illustrations, making recommendations regarding plan design, insurance carrier selection, product selection and configuration to maximize COLI and benefit performance within applicable constraintsTake a lead role in presenting insurance analysis and product selection to advisors and clientsCoordinate work from other departments (Actuarial, Publications, Client Administration) to complete marketing proposalsMentor and coach M Team members and partner with department manager to provide oversight of junior Insurance AnalystsReview, assess, and summarize COLI-based solutions and make recommendations to stakeholders based on the financial analyses compiledQUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Math, or related areaMinimum of fifteen years of direct work experience in actuarial, accounting, finance or insurance environment with demonstrated ability to progressively assume increased responsibilityExperience modeling and analyzing insurance company owned life insurance (ICOLI) i preferredExpert level understanding of mathematical terms and analysisLife Insurance and securities licenses (must be able to obtain within 6 months of employment)Strong attention to detail, analytical, and project management skillsWell-developed computer skills, including the use of the internet and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointExcellent problem-solving skills as well as ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisionsExcellent oral and written communication skillsSelf-starter with the ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative, drive, and orientation to goal accomplishmentAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with M Team members, carriers, Member Firms, Marketers, and advisorsCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITSSalary will be commensurate with relevant experience, knowledge, and skills.You will also be eligible for an annual incentive plan bonus.M Financial offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:Medical/Vision InsuranceDental InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term Disability InsuranceLife InsuranceModern Health (Mental Health Therapy and Coaching)Empathy (Bereavement Support)Employee Assistance ProgramLife InsuranceFSA (Health and Dependent Care)HSA (for qualified medical plan)Long-Term Care Insurance401(k) MatchTuition AssistanceJOB CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENTThis position is based on-site at our offices in Uptown at the Quad in Dallas, TX with the flexibility to work one day remotelyNormal office environment/desk assignmentExtensive use of PC’s, computer terminal, display, keyboard, and mouseExtensive hands-on work with documents, spreadsheets, and other written documentsThis position description is not intended to be and should not be construed as an all-inclusive list of responsibilities, skills or working conditions associated with this position.
