This position is responsible for the creation of financial analyses of corporate owned life insurance (COLI) products and nonqualified employee benefit plans for potential new and existing corporate clients. Additionally, the Insurance Consulting Director takes a lead role in managing and presenting insurance analyses to clients and their advisors as well as serving as a life insurance subject matter expert.

This position is responsible for the creation of financial analyses of corporate owned life insurance (COLI) products and nonqualified employee benefit plans for potential new and existing corporate clients. Additionally, the Insurance Consulting Director takes a lead role in managing and presenting insurance analyses to clients and their advisors as well as serving as a life insurance subject matter expert.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify information needed to develop client ready presentations using financial analyses based on COLI and other investment-based products
- Working independently, prepare proposals for COLI and executive benefits marketing to for-profit and nonprofit corporations
- Provide expert insurance analysis support to M Member Firms, Marketers, and advisors (includes but is not limited to analysis and technical solutions in the design of executive benefit plans and COLI financing strategies)
- Using a variety of software programs, including Microsoft Excel and life insurance carrier software, create COLI illustrations and financial exhibits to project earnings, cash flows, yields, and internal rates of return of COLI
- Complete analysis of COLI illustrations, making recommendations regarding plan design, insurance carrier selection, product selection and configuration to maximize COLI and benefit performance within applicable constraints
- Take a lead role in presenting insurance analysis and product selection to advisors and clients
- Coordinate work from other departments (Actuarial, Publications, Client Administration) to complete marketing proposals
- Mentor and coach M Team members and partner with department manager to provide oversight of junior Insurance Analysts
- Review, assess, and summarize COLI-based solutions and make recommendations to stakeholders based on the financial analyses compiled
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Math, or related area
- Minimum of fifteen years of direct work experience in actuarial, accounting, finance or insurance environment with demonstrated ability to progressively assume increased responsibility
- Experience modeling and analyzing insurance company owned life insurance (ICOLI) i preferred
- Expert level understanding of mathematical terms and analysis
- Life Insurance and securities licenses (must be able to obtain within 6 months of employment)
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, and project management skills
- Well-developed computer skills, including the use of the internet and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent problem-solving skills as well as ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative, drive, and orientation to goal accomplishment
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with M Team members, carriers, Member Firms, Marketers, and advisors

JOB CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT
- This position is based on-site at our offices in Uptown at the Quad in Dallas, TX with the flexibility to work one day remotely
- Normal office environment/desk assignment
- Extensive use of PC's, computer terminal, display, keyboard, and mouse
