Assists in ensuring the quality of patient care delivery in a specific patient care area and serves as a role model for professional nursing practice. Assists with the administration and management of personnel, fiscal, and material resources. May assume full responsibility for the unit in delegated areas and in the absence of the manager.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. UCSF BenefitsDepartment DescriptionThe Operating Room (OR) at Mount Zion (MZ) is an inpatient care facility and is comprised of 10 suites performing procedures and surgery in various specialties. The main focus is on cancer treatment and the OR has recently redesigned and built two new operating suites with state-of-the-art integrated systems.Required Qualifications3-5 years of progressive nursing management experience with patient care clinical standards and care delivery.Demonstrated skills to effectively supervise clinicians and manage complex workflows.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of business software and data management systems.Strong knowledge of human resources management policies.License/CertificationBachelor's Degree in Nursing required. Registered Nurse in the State of California. Master's Degree preferred. American Heart Association BLS/CPR.
