Sr. Director of FP&A (3885)United StatesThe Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) plays a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and operational effectiveness. This position demands a strategic thinker with extensive experience in financial management, who will lead the FP&A team in delivering actionable insights and analysis to drive growth and profitability in alignment with SMX's objectives.Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Direct the development of financial forecasts, budgets and long-term strategic planning initiatives. Collaborate with the executive team to determine financial goals and operational plans that align with the overall company strategy.Oversee the monthly reporting processes, providing comprehensive analyses of financial performance. Identify trends, variances, and actionable insights to inform decision-making and enhance organizational performance.Manage and optimize the FP&A function; supervise in the creation of reports, software implementation, and tools for budgeting and forecasting.Build and mentor a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Ensure team members are equipped with the skills necessary to perform effectively and develop their careers within the organization.Drive change throughout the business by providing strong, data-driven, analytical leadership.Manage the production of existing and development of new reporting tools (dashboards, scorecards, bridges, etc.) and KPIs that will deliver insight into revenue and operating expense trends, track capital project spending, headcount, and surface risks/opportunities.Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred, with at least 2 years as a Director of Finance or higher.Proven track record in financial modeling, forecasting and strategic planning.Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to distill complex financial information with clear insights.Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.Deep FP&A experience; strengths in reporting, forecasting, modeling, and deep-dive business analyses; experience identifying and tracking KPIs and utilizing the data to drive future strategy.Champion for ethical business practices in all areas.Desired Skills & Experience

Capacity to serve as a thought partner to the CEO, CFO, Board of Directors, and private equity partner, helping to inform, influence, and drive key business decisions; ability to impact the company from a financial, strategic, and operational standpoint.High level of intellectual curiosity; "do-er" mentality.Exceptional communication; ability to inform and influence at all levels internally and externally.Ability to analyze complex financial matters and simplify them into concise recommendations.High-energy and hands-on, with a "roll-up-the-sleeves" mentality; self-starter with the ability to work effectively with limited resources and a high tolerance for ambiguity.Financial system management experience, including business process mapping and improvement.Natural bias towards speaking in numbers and using data to support decision-making; ability to communicate financial information in a user-friendly format.Application Deadline:
