Team members are responsible for assisting with all aspects of an In-House tax function including assisting with transactional matters, managing multiple internal and external professional resources, as well as federal, state and foreign compliance and various special projects. We offer an opportunity to work on rewarding, high profile clients with exposure to interesting technical matters using a team approach that allows for great work-life balance in a friendly, supportive environment.Essential Functions and Primary Duties:Managing staff on assigned deliverables to achieve the completion of all aspects of the engagement, completing reviews as a member of the final review team to ensure quality control standards are met.Understanding the client’s compliance and consulting needs and recognizing opportunities for the client and CBIZ.Sharing knowledge of industry trends, identifying client issues and conflicts, proactively communicating solution options to management and the team, performing analysis and planning of tax engagements.Assisting with client communication during engagements.Supervising, training and mentoring less experienced staff.Participating in new client development in partnership with senior management, contributing to client meetings as well as presentation and proposal development.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation or related field.Qualifications Required:Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.5 years of experience working with GAAP, 5 years of experience auditing financial statements; and 5 years of experience performing public accounting.3 years supervisory experience.3 years managing other accountants.Must have active CPA or equivalent certification.Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements.Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary.Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally.Proficient use of applicable technology.Must be able to travel based on business needs.The annual salary target for this job in this market is $120,000-$200,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.The compensation above is not representative of an employee’s total compensation.
