Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.The salary range for this position is $91.17 - $124.10 (Hourly Rate).Department DescriptionThe cardiothoracic surgery service provides advanced surgical treatments, including coronary artery bypass grafting, aortic and mitral valve replacement, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, and heart transplantation.Required QualificationsNurse Practitioner IFive (5) years of experience in cardiovascular critical care as an RN.Possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to successfully perform the duties of the assigned position.Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations and in varying schedules as outlined.Nurse Practitioner IIMinimum of one (1) year of cardio-thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, cardiology, or critical care ICU NP experience.Possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to successfully perform the duties of the assigned position.Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations and in varying schedules as outlined.Preferred QualificationsRNFAIf NP1, recent experience managing complex cardiac patients with heart failure, heart transplant, and ECMO.License/CertificationCalifornia driver's license (CDL) if required for position.Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency and provide by first day of work. Accepted Certifications for this position: ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC.Current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California.Complete a BRN recognized graduate master's degree program as a Nurse Practitioner.Obtain an active and/or transferable DEA license to California and provide evidence by 90th day of clinical practice.Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through credentialing by first clinical day.Current AHA BLS as minimum requirement.Current AHA ACLS as minimum requirement.State regulation requires that you have a supervising physician to practice.Incumbents with less than 6 months of NP experience will be hired as a Nurse Practitioner 1.About UCSFAt UCSF Health, our mission of innovative patient care, advanced technology and pioneering research is redefining what's possible for the patients we serve.
