International Tax Senior - Bilingual Japanese

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Preparing Federal and multi-state tax returns for a diverse clientele including C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, high-net-worth individuals, bankruptcy, and trusts and estates.

Addressing complex accounting and tax issues effectively.

Performing both basic and complex tax research to stay ahead of regulatory changes.

Maintaining and developing trusting relationships with clients to foster business growth and loyalty.

Identifying and pursuing tax planning and consulting opportunities to add value to client interactions.

Participating in continuous learning and training to enhance professional skills and service offerings.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or Business Administration.

Minimum of 2 years’ tax experience, ideally from a public accounting firm.

Active CPA license or demonstrable progress on the path to obtain CPA certification.

Strong detail orientation with exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Self-motivated individual with a proven entrepreneurial work ethic.

Legal authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced understanding and application of tax laws and regulations.

Experience specifically with Japanese corporate and expatriate tax matters.

Advanced degree or specialization in International Taxation.

Prior experience in a client-facing role, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.

Skills:

Proficiency in Japanese and English, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Strong capability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks.

Robust tax preparation software skills, with proficiency in tools such as CCH Axcess and Intuit ProConnect.

Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to handle complex tax situations.

Strong foundational knowledge in federal and state tax compliance.
