PURPOSE:
Comtech is seeking a seasoned Product Lifecycle Manager for driving product adoption, development, and growth for Global Mobile Networks Operators (MNOs). We are looking for a passionate, curious, and confident Product Leader with knowledge of Short Message Service Center (SMSC) and Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) platforms with expertise in Contracting and Go-To-Market platforms, tools, and processes. The candidate will drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, requirements and roadmap development, and product launch. Further, the candidate shall define strategies and evangelize them across a broad group of stakeholders and shall execute these strategies and remove blockers along the way. The candidate will ensure the strategy delivers the desired outcomes, quickly learn, and iterate when it doesn’t, and double down when it does.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as the leader and owner of assigned product categories, responsible for driving profitable growth by leading the cross-functional team and managing the 4Ps (Product, Price, Promotion, Placement) using a commercial, technical, financial, and operational mindset.
Identifying, designing, and owning the Product Business Plans for Short Message Service Center (SMSC) and Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) / Cell Broadcast Systems / Public Warning Systems.
Coordinating the entire product development cycle with Technical Product Managers (TPMs), from ideation, launch, and its business lifecycle.
Ensuring that the final products meet the needs of both the business and the end-user.
Setting milestones, timelines, and deliverables for the technical components of the product in accordance with customer priorities.
Managing interdependencies to avoid bottlenecks and delays via close coordination with TPMs and engineering.
Reviewing tech specs with internal and customer technical teams.
Evaluating architectural, standard body specifications and market trends to position and maintain market leadership.
Developing strategies to increase market share and improve customer satisfaction with existing products.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business. MBA preferred.
At least 10 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product lifecycle management in the Telecommunications industry.
Familiarity with agile is a must.
Hands-on experience of managing all stages of the product life cycle.
Technical background with knowledge of software development and web techniques.
Hands-on experience of cloud services and technologies.

Strong diplomacy and excellent communication skills with the ability to present and communicate effectively in front of leadership, board members, owners, and customers.
Strong business P&L acumen and experience to achieve profitable growth using financial tools, forecasts, reports, and data to make decisions.
Customer-centric approach with a focus on delivering products that meet customer and user needs.
Skilled at conducting market research, gathering insights, and creating business cases.
Strong experience in strategically marketing Wireless Telecommunication products and solutions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to improve business processes and practices to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
Ability to identify and implement best practices and continual improvements.
Salary:
$165,000 - $180,000
