About the Job: Labor & Employment - Midlevel to Senior Associate This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned attorney to join a leading AmLaw 100 national law firm's vibrant Labor & Employment practice in San Francisco, CA. As a Midlevel to Senior Associate, you will play a pivotal role in managing complex legal issues involving employment litigation, compliance, and advisory matters across a diverse client base. This role is crafted for attorneys who are ready to take on challenging cases, contribute to strategic decisions, and drive results that align with client objectives while fostering professional growth in a supportive environment. Compensation:

$310,000.00 - $420,000.00 annually, additional discretionary bonuses based on performance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead and represent clients in high-stakes labor and employment cases, including state and federal court litigations and arbitrations. Provide strategic legal guidance and support to clients on various employment issues such as employee relations, compliance, and risk management. Handle a diverse array of employment-related cases, ranging from wage and hour disputes to complex class action lawsuits. Draft, review, and negotiate critical legal documents such as long-form settlement agreements, arbitration agreements, and employment contracts. Engage in active negotiation sessions to resolve disputes favorably and mitigate risks for clients. Take depositions, engage in discovery processes, and make court appearances on behalf of clients. Conduct labor due diligence in merger and acquisition transactions to assess risks and provide actionable insights. Work collaboratively with a dedicated team to develop innovative legal strategies that address client needs and market changes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations affecting labor and employment practices on a state and national level. Mentor junior associates and contribute to the development of the practice group by sharing expertise and fostering an inclusive work environment. Minimum Position Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) from a top-tier law school with strong academic credentials. Admission to the California Bar. 5-7 years of experience in employment law within an AmLaw 100 law firm or equivalent. Substantial experience in employment litigation, including court appearances and depositions. Demonstrated ability to manage and lead cases independently. Proficient in drafting a variety of legal documents as required in employment litigation practices. Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record in effective client counselling. Excellent organizational, time management, and analytical skills. Strong commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications: Experience handling class action lawsuits and complex wage and hour disputes is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with labor due diligence in M&A transactions. Public speaking experience, either in seminars, training sessions or legal conferences, centered around employment law topics. Previous involvement in pro bono activities or community service related to labor and employment issues. Skills: Exceptional legal writing and communication skills. Advanced litigation and organizational abilities. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Highly adept at juggling multiple client priorities.
