If you are looking to make an impact in how our government provides its services, then come join our Business Transformation team.Your key responsibilitiesAs one of our Business Transformation leaders, you’ll work with government clients to support and improve a broad range of Program Management (PM) operations, including integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk, procurement and stakeholder management. You will have the opportunity to apply your PM knowledge on meaningful and complex projects, while working with multidisciplinary teams and industry leaders. We also will provide access to robust PM training programs and in-house PM leadership. Key responsibilities of the position include:Leading multiple PM engagementsLeading internal projectsDirecting and planning technical, financial, risk and quality aspects of client engagementsLeading service development and service delivery executionCommunicating issues, status and thought leadership to partners and clientsBuilding impactful relationships with key influencers to effectively manage work and generate new business opportunitiesSharing leading practices and insights about current industry or subject-matter topics with EY US leaders, proposal teams and clientsBuilding, managing and motivating high-performing teams, including supporting people-related initiatives (e.g., recruitment, retention, training, competency development)Developing people through effective leadership, coaching, mentoring and performance assessment of all levels of staffCommunicating the improvements from and helping implement EY US portfolio management, PM and project management methodologiesCommunicating workplace policies, procedures and practices to all levels of staffSkills and attributes for successUnderstand clients’ cultures and operations to influence important decisionsLeverage industry leading practices and trends to provide valuable insights to clientsAssist with cultivating and managing business development opportunities. Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess/present ways to serve clients.Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Develop relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs.To qualify for the role you must haveA bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or a business-related field and approximately 8 years of recent consulting or relevant industry experience (with at least 4 years of recent consulting experience preferred) with the ability to show a significant client impact and results, or a master’s degree and 8 years of work relevant experienceAt least 8 years of experience leading teams on engagements requiredKnowledge and experience working for a federal, state or local agency in the following areas:Project or program centralization or transformationRisk managementBusiness operating model assessment or creationStrategic alignment frameworksFinancial controls and managementSchedule managementResource planning and managementInnovation collaboration and managementWorkflow management and operational optimizationOrganizational change managementProcess improvementStakeholder and customer engagement supportPerformance measurement or performance managementPerformance measures and metrics developmentBenchmarking and gap analysisDemonstrated ability to develop long-term client relationships and a portfolio of new businessDemonstrated ability to mentor and develop staffStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in one or more PM software package, such as Microsoft Project Server or Oracle PrimaveraExperience with Microsoft SharePointWillingness and ability to travel to client site.Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.Ideally you'll also havePortfolio management professionalPM professionalProject management professionalCertified scrum masterLean Six Sigma master black beltWhat we look forTop performers have experience leading client service projects, business development efforts and internal growth initiatives.The candidate should have experience delivering services for project plans on large, complex engagements.Experience with federal, state or local agencies, often gained by working in a Big Four global management consulting firm or a blue-chip company focused on the government and public sector, is a plus.What we offerWe offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business.
