Job Title: Interim Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Location: Elkhart, IN (100% onsite)

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Interim Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our healthcare organization. This role is vital in managing the day-to-day operations of multiple medical practices, ensuring seamless integration across labs, imaging, facilities, and other critical departments. The ideal candidate will be adept at problem-solving, providing clear direction to practice managers, and maintaining an open-door policy to address any staff concerns or operational issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Day-to-Day Practice Operations: Oversee and manage daily operations across multiple practices, including labs, imaging, and facilities, ensuring smooth functionality and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Support for Practice Managers: Serve as the go-to resource for practice managers, offering guidance, troubleshooting operational challenges, and providing leadership for staffing or scheduling issues.
  • Staff Relations: Maintain an open and accessible approach to staff concerns, managing interpersonal conflicts, and facilitating a collaborative, productive work environment.
  • Value-Based Care Implementation: Work closely with the value care team to support the rollout of a value-based care program in collaboration with a new partner organization. Provide strategic insight and operational support for this important initiative.
  • Technology & Workflow Transformation: Lead the implementation of new technology, including clinical tools that will significantly impact staff workflows. Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure smooth transitions and effective use of these tools.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a COO or senior healthcare operations leader, ideally in a multi-practice medical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of value-based care models and experience with healthcare technology implementations, including EHR systems.
  • Ability to manage complex operations, problem-solve in real-time, and lead teams through significant organizational change.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of fostering collaboration and addressing staff concerns effectively.
  • Familiarity with vendor management and ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
