The LEAP Program will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on impactful projects, engage in career development opportunities, and network with our business leaders and the other students in the program.**_Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship._****The Role:** In this role, you will:+ Lead factory continuous improvement activities and projects at our Austin manufacturing site.+ Provide support to manufacturing personnel.+ Generate and implement systems to improve manufacturing processes.+ Source and design tooling and fixtures for use in the factory.+ Perform time studies and capacity analyses.+ Participate in LEAP Intern events and activities.**Who You Are:**+ You love working with a team and receiving input from others.+ You constantly ask questions and love learning.+ You are always looking for ways to do things better and faster.+ You re constantly updating your to-do list and planning ahead.**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**+ U.S. Citizenship.+ Candidate for a Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field and will have completed their Junior year of college prior to start of internship.+ Motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently.+ Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.+ Excellent team player who is willing to contribute and learn.**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**+ Experience with data collection methods and data analysis techniques.+ Experience writing and interacting with technical documentation.+ Familiar with principles of Lean Six Sigma.**Pay Information**Full-Time Salary Range: $48620 - $65670Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan.
