A reputable aerospace company is hiring an Aircraft Painter. Specializing in both Powder Coating and Spray Painting of metal aircraft equipment. In this role, you will apply powder coatings to metal surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet industry standards for durability, appearance, and performance. You will be responsible for setting up equipment, preparing surfaces, applying powder, and performing quality checks to ensure the work meets aircraft manufacturing specifications. salary: $23 - $28 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 4 PMeducation: High School
Responsibilities
Prepare and clean metal aircraft parts for powder coating by sanding, masking, or blasting surfaces.Set up, operate, and maintain powder painting equipment, including spray guns, ovens, and booths.Mix and apply powder coatings to ensure even coverage and optimal adhesion on metal surfaces.Inspect and ensure that coatings meet quality and performance standards for aircraft manufacturing.Troubleshoot equipment or application issues, adjusting settings to maintain consistency in finishes.Safely handle and store powder coatings and related materials.Maintain detailed records of materials used, parts coated, and any quality control inspections performed.Follow safety protocols for handling hazardous materials and operating machinery.Collaborate with other team members to ensure on-time delivery of coated parts to assembly lines.
The essential functions of this role include:working in a smoke free environmentwearing steel toe shoesmanual lifting up to 50lbs
