Virginia Green customers expect the best, which is why we are looking for individuals who are ready to bring their best work and grow with us.Position SummaryThe IT internship at Virginia Green provides a comprehensive practical experience, equipping you with the skills and knowledge to kickstart your IT career. The primary responsibility involves IT support, covering hardware and software installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. You will also gain exposure to cybersecurity, data management and analytics, as well as other operational and infrastructure projects. If you are enthusiastic about technology and eager to learn, we invite you to join our team.Primary ResponsibilitiesAssist the IT team with provisioning and deprovisioning workstations, mobile devices, and managing account access.Provide technical support for hardware and software, both in-person and remotely.Manage service request tickets through resolution, updating supervisors and internal customers on status.Ensure the protection of company and customer data by maintaining a secure environment.Required Qualifications / AttributesStrong technical troubleshooting skills with a working knowledge of current technologies.Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and related applications.Experience with Windows, iOS, and Android operating systems.Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID for user account management.Experience with antivirus software and basic network troubleshooting.Knowledge of configuring and networking printers, scanners, and related devices.Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.Effective time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills.Education and ExperienceApplicants must be currently enrolled in a degree program related to Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a similar field.Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.Minimum Physical RequirementsAbility to sit for extended periods.Ability to use computer keyboard and monitor for extended periods.Ability to lift 50lbs.*Virginia Green is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
