Registered Nurse - ER @ Providence Holy Cross Medical Center

Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Emergency Room Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) Guaranteed Hours: Facility is able to call off once per two-week pay period Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required (first-timers not accepted) License: Valid California license must be in hand Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH, PALS, LA City Fire Card Must-Have: - LA fire card within the last 30 days required- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty/setting- Commitment to working 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Job Description: - Work in a Level 2 Trauma center with a high volume of pediatric cases (30%)- Handle medical situations involving AMIs, strokes, motor vehicle accidents, gunshot wounds, sepsis, and CHF- Familiarity with a range of medications including antibiotics, vasopressors, opioids, sedation drugs, antihypertensives, anti-seizure drugs, and cardiac medications- Serve a diverse community with proficiency in providing culturally competent care- Flexibility to float between different facilities within the state as needed- Complete 40 hours of orientation along with mandatory modules pre-start (non-billable)- Epic charting experience preferred Additional Information: - Nurses must be willing to work weekends every other week- Open to accommodating a block schedule per manager's discretion- Completion of all required modules is self-reported and tracked through transcripts Note: All travelers are expected to float between facilities and refusal may lead to termination of the assignment.
