Data Business Analyst

Insight Global is hiring a Data Business Analyst to join our large Midwest based utilities client. This person will join the data team add efficiencies to data requirements. They will be the point of contact for internal end uto gather requirements and develop solutions to data analytics needs. Once they have the requirements, they will develop a solution including completing the data modeling, profiling, source mapping, data dictionaries, schemas, and storage/warehouse recommended processes. Then, they'll provide that information to the data engineering team to develop. After receiving the completed work back from the engineering team, this person will validate accuracy then provide the results to the internal end user. This work will be completed 1 request of various sizes at a time, as well as work closely with the data engineering team to ensure strong communication on expectations.
This role is hybrid 2 days onsite in Council Bluffs, IA, Fayetteville, AR, or Rapid City, SD. This position can pay between $92,500-152,450 depending on level of experience.

Required Skills & Experience-Bachelor's Degree Information technology or related specialty OR equivalent combination of education and experience-5+ years of hands-on experience developing solutions for data engineering and analytic use cases-Comfortable creating ETL processes, dimensional modeling, data profiling, and source mapping-Advanced reading and writing knowledge of SQL languages, predominately TSQL and PL/SQL-Expert in data warehousing principles and Kimball methodologies including Star Schema Models-Familiarity with Azure tools including Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Data Lakes, or Data Studio-Experience working with Power BI dashboards and semantic models-Understanding of and familiarity of profiling RestAPI data
Nice to Have Skills & Experience-Azure Certifications-Power BI Certifications
