Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Labor & Delivery (L&D) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Guaranteed Hours: Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, ACLS, BLS, NRP Must-Have: - Ability to circulate during C-Sections - Experience managing high-risk antepartum patients - Experience in labor - Experience managing COVID patients in labor, C-Section, antepartum, and OBED Job Description: - Provide care for patients in the labor and delivery unit - Collaborate with a team of 55 skilled staff members - Work within a unit with 19 labor beds, 5 OBED beds, 3 PACU beds, 3 Surgical beds, and 8 Antepartum beds - Maintain a patient ratio of 2:1 for labor, 3:1 for OBED, 4:1 for Antepartum, and 1:1 for OR - Utilize EMR systems, specifically CPN and Meditech - Adhere to dress code by wearing royal blue scrubs (no t-shirts) Typical Procedures Performed: - C-Sections - Cerclage - BTLD - D&C for PPH only Preferred Personality Fit: - Excellent teamwork skills - Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments Floating Areas: - Low-risk Antepartum unit Weekends and On-call Requirements: - Mandatory two weekend shifts per month, possibly four General Comments: - Orientation hours: 0 - Great opportunity for those with advanced fetal monitoring skills
