We are seeking a highly-motivated, detail-oriented Litigation Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to work on high-profile litigation cases, providing comprehensive legal support to our attorneys.
Responsibilities:
As a Litigation Legal Assistant, you will be expected to perform the following duties:
- Assist attorneys and paralegals with all aspects of litigation including discovery, court filings, and trial preparation.
- Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, subpoenas, and legal correspondence.
- Conduct legal research and factual investigation.
- Manage case files and maintain case calendars.
- Coordinate depositions, mediations, and client meetings.
- Utilize efiling systems to file and retrieve court documents.
- Communicate effectively with clients, court personnel, and other legal professionals.
- Ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Perform administrative duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and maintaining attorney calendars.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Litigation Legal Assistant position, you must possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a litigation legal assistant - civil defense or commercial litigation experience preferred.
- Proficiency in efiling systems and other legal software.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court rules, and procedures.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
