We are seeking a seasoned Litigation Paralegal with a passion for justice and a knack for meticulous detail. This role is an integral part of our legal team, working closely with attorneys to prepare for trials, hearings, and mediation. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the legal team in managing all aspects of plaintiff civil litigation, from the initial client meeting through verdict or settlement. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of complex, high-profile cases in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Responsibilities:

  1. Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation, including but not limited to drafting pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation.
  2. Conduct legal research and factual investigation.
  3. Organize and manage case files and documents, ensuring all relevant information is easily accessible and up-to-date.
  4. Coordinate with expert witnesses and manage the discovery process.
  5. Prepare trial exhibits and assist with jury selection and trial proceedings.
  6. Draft, proofread, and file court documents and legal memoranda.
  7. Maintain and update case management system and databases.
  8. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members.
  9. Ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal in plaintiff civil litigation, personal injury experience preferred.
  2. Paralegal certification or degree from an accredited program.
  3. Proficient in legal research tools and software such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
  4. Exceptional organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Strong knowledge of civil litigation process and legal terminology. Trial experience strongly preferred.
  7. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  8. High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
  9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
