Responsibilities:

As a Project Accountant, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that are critical to the financial success of our projects. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

1. Overseeing the financial aspects of project accounting from start to finish.
2. Managing fixed assets, ensuring accurate and timely depreciation schedules.
3. Conducting regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
4. Collaborating with project managers to develop budgets and financial plans.
5. Tracking and analyzing project costs, profitability, and financial status.
6. Preparing financial reports for project managers, stakeholders, and senior management.
7. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
8. Assisting in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
9. Providing financial insights and recommendations to project managers and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:

1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting or a similar role.
3. Proficiency in fixed assets and bank reconciliations.
4. A strong understanding of accounting principles, procedures, and legislation.
5. Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
8. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
10. Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
