Job Details

Responsibilities

  1. Serve as Issuer's Counsel, providing legal advice on a wide range of public finance matters including bond issuance, tax-exempt financing, and tax credit transactions.
  2. Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of legal documents related to public finance transactions, including bond documents, loan agreements, and disclosure documents.
  3. Advise clients on the legal aspects of financial decisions, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  4. Provide legal counsel on municipal law matters, advising public entities on a wide range of issues including governance, public contracts, and regulatory compliance.
  5. Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues related to public finance and municipal law.
  6. Represent the firm and its clients in court, before government agencies, or in private legal matters.
  7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring client satisfaction.
  8. Stay updated on current trends, practices, and legislation in public finance and municipal law, ensuring the firm's practices are up-to-date and compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  2. Master of Laws (LLM) degree in a related field is preferred.
  3. Must be barred in Phoenix.
  4. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Public Finance Attorney, with a strong focus on issuer's counsel, tax-exempt finance, and municipal law.
  5. Demonstrated experience with tax credits and public finance law.
  6. Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  7. Strong negotiation and client management skills.
  8. Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
  10. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  11. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  12. Demonstrated commitment to public service or social justice.
