Job Details

We are looking for an experienced associate to join our public finance team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in municipal finance, with a focus on the State of Florida laws and federal tax aspects of municipal bond law. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of public finance projects for municipalities and governmental entities. Candidates will be considered for any of our office locations.

Responsibilities:

Advise clients on municipal finance matters, including Florida state laws and federal tax aspects of municipal bond law.

Assist with drafting legal documents, including bond resolutions, ordinances, and tax opinions.

Work closely with public entities and underwriters to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Provide support during financial transactions, such as bond issuances and other public finance projects.

Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in municipal finance law and federal tax regulations.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Experience in municipal finance law, specifically related to Florida state laws and federal tax aspects of municipal bonds.

Strong legal writing, research, and communication skills.

Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or related work experience in finance is preferred.

Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects.
