Are you a seasoned CPA with a knack for numbers and an eye for detail? Are you passionate about making a significant impact in a dynamic organization by applying your tax expertise? If so, our organization is seeking a Permanent Sr. Accountant - Tax to join our finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will play a key role in ensuring the financial health of our company. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing corporate and partnership tax returns, handling payroll and sales tax returns, and providing strategic tax planning advice to boost our financial efficiency.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Sr. Accountant - Tax, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing and reviewing corporate and partnership tax returns in compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Managing payroll and sales tax returns to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Providing strategic tax planning advice to management to help optimize our financial performance.
- Leveraging your QuickBooks and UltraTax expertise to streamline our accounting processes.
- Working closely with other finance team members to ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Keeping abreast of the latest tax regulations and industry trends to provide informed and relevant advice.
- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports, as needed.
- Collaborating with external auditors during financial and tax audits.
- Providing guidance and supervision to junior accounting staff.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role should have:
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential.
- A minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience.
- At least 3+ years of corporate tax return preparation experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and UltraTax.
- Extensive knowledge of corporate and partnership taxes.
- Experience in preparing payroll and sales tax returns.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in your work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A proactive approach to your work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
