Job Details:

As an Assistant Controller, you will be at the forefront of our financial operations, playing a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. This exciting position will provide you with the opportunity to utilize your expertise in finance, banking, and analysis to drive strategic decision-making and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation of financial reports in accordance with GAAP, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
2. Oversee the financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting processes, providing critical insights and recommendations to senior management.
3. Manage and monitor all aspects of the company's financial accounting systems, including the fixed asset accounting system.
4. Ensure all financial transactions are correctly recorded, reconciled, and reported in accordance with company policies and procedures.
5. Support the Controller in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to enhance the workflow of the department.
6. Assist in managing the company’s banking relationships and ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of all bank accounts.
7. Lead the monthly reporting process, ensuring all reports are accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
8. Support the cost accounting function, including inventory valuation, cost analysis, and margin analysis.
9. Utilize advanced Excel skills to perform complex financial modeling and analysis.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance role with a focus on financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, fixed asset accounting, monthly reporting, cost accounting, and reporting.
3. Solid understanding of GAAP and banking practices.
4. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret financial data.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex financial models and perform advanced functions.
6. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
8. CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not required.
9. Experience with financial software and systems is a plus.
