**License:** Valid compact or state license required at time of submission
**Certifications:** Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale
**Must-Have:** High acuity PCU patient experience
**Job Description:**
- Provide care on a 36-bed Oncology Telemetry unit, with over 24 beds dedicated to PCU level of care.- Manage a patient ratio of 1:4-5 for Med-Surg Telemetry and 1:3 for PCU.- Float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity as needed.- Deliver special procedures and unit-specific care focused on infection prevention protocols and patient falls.- Utilize equipment including B450 monitors, GE telemetry system, bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, Stryker beds, and PCA pumps.- Demonstrate skills in dysrhythmia interpretation, rapid response team use, feeding tube care and management, and accessing ports.- Perform central line, PICC line, and peripheral line management, as well as starting IVs and implementing heparin protocols.- Manage and titrate cardiac drips, as well as tracheostomy and high flow nasal cannula (HFNC).- Handle chest tubes, CPAP/BIPAP, interpretation of ABGs, and nasal cannula use.
**Skills Preferred:**
- Management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, and insulin drip titration.- Experience with phlebotomy, chemotherapy administration, monitoring, wound care, wound vac, and arterial line management.- Competence in handling surgical drains and non-invasive airway management.
