Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to create and maintain high-performance, scalable, and stable database solutions. The ideal candidate will work with customers, deployment squads, and product management to identify and document use case scenarios, lead data solution aspects, and provide deep technical expertise to development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

•Create and maintain high-performance, scalable, and stable database solutions.

•Work with customers, deployment squads, and product management to identify and document use case scenarios.

•Lead on all data solution aspects, including setting data standards and providing deep technical expertise to development teams for best practices, systems, and architectures.

•Design database solutions that are highly available and meet disaster recovery requirements.

•Design effective data store solutions that account for effective capacity planning, data tiering, and data life-cycle management.

•Design, develop, and maintain automated systems for AWS Cloud-based products and services.

•Troubleshoot issues with automations and ensure efficient solutions.

•Collaborate with team members for effective and efficient automations.

•Evaluate existing automation processes and identify areas of improvement.

•Monitor and validate performance and functionality of automated processes to ensure objectives are met.

•Develop and maintain documentation for automated processes and ensure knowledge transfer.

•Mentor other team members on new technologies and automation processes.

•Work with QA to create detailed test plans and needed tooling to account for targeted performance for production volume data.

•Ensure the successful delivery of solutions, training, and documentation, internally and with customers.

•Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems.

•Participate in code reviews and create documentation for engineering and cross-functional practices.

•Work with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end technical and business viability.

•Learn new database technologies as necessary.

Responsibilities :

•Perform data analysis and database management.

•Involved in maintenance, enhancement, designing of data dictionaries, physical and logical database models, and performance tuning.

•Understand, configure, and manage database administration tools.

•Provide database support for business applications and schedule backup jobs for user databases.

•Provide access control (password resets/account creation/deletion) and check IP compliance (violation report review, compliance updates, and compliance setups).

•Perform data purging and data replication activities.

•Research connectivity issues and recurring errors in application databases.

•Respond to database issues and take appropriate actions.

•Provide escalation Level 1 and 2 Technical 24x7 support.

•Perform database creations.

•Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting for databases.

•Perform application database maintenance and provide technical assistance to users.

•Manage database account access and database object changes.

•Ensure that monitoring and alerts are properly in place to meet monitoring requirements.

•Perform application database and OS scripting.

•Review Information Protection compliance reports and notifications for individual databases and internal processes (including compliance updates and compliance setups).

•Perform database recovery from logs, hot & cold backups, Export/Imports, and Disaster Recovery.

•Perform database creation decommissioning and database updates/migrations to a higher/lower version or cross-platform migrations.

•Involved in database, schema, and object refresh activities.

•Monitor and report existing database Instance, Database, Server activities for CPU, Memory, Cache, logs performance, and recommend effective resource utilization/emergency recovery procedures.

•Provide Escalation Level 2 Technical 24x7 support.

•Perform Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery activities during Business Continuity Plan events.

•Plan, schedule, and implement operating system software installs and patches (including 3rd party tools) using change management and release management processes.

•Implement database security and auditing features and periodic reviews.

•Conduct root cause analysis for repeated incidents.

•Perform heterogeneous database interface deployment and support for various data interfaces with applications, Middleware interface, and functionality deployment with database architecture.

•Plan and develop processes for database updates and migrations to a higher/lower version or cross-platform migrations.

•Involved in database, schema, and object refresh activities.

•Develop capacity planning processes that include monitoring of existing database Instance, Database, Server activities for CPU, Memory, Cache, Logs performance and recommend effective utilization of resources and emergency recovery procedures.

•Conduct team training and responsible for resource management.

•Provide escalation Level 2 and 3 Technical 24x7 support.

•Provide Business Continuity Planning/Disaster Recovery support.

•Research new technologies to address operations reliability and compliance.

•Implement and perform configuration management of database cluster and replications.

Required Qualifications:

•Strong experience in database administration and management.

•Proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning.

•Experience with AWS Cloud-based products and services.

•Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

•Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

•Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

•Experience with automation processes and tools.

•Knowledge of database security and compliance standards.

•Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation.

Certifications (if any):

•Relevant certifications in database administration or related fields are a plus.

Bachelors Degree
