**Job Title:** Registered Nurse Lead

**Shift:** Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30); Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

**Experience:** Minimum 2 years in SICU and teaching hospital experience required.
**License:** DC license required. Pending license accepted but must be obtained prior to start date.
**Certifications:**- Basic Life Support (BLS)- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
**Must-Have:**- Completion of 1 prior travel assignment- Experience with pulmonary artery lines, IV starts, and phlebotomy preferred- Neuro ICU certification preferred
**Job Description:**
- Work within a short-term acute care teaching hospital environment.- Provide care in one of the top 50 heart and vascular centers in the country.- Responsible for a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2.- Proficiency in Cerner charting system.- Experience with special equipment such as Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Bolt, and External Ventricular Drain (EVD) is required.- Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity levels.- Flexibility to work every other weekend and provide holiday coverage as needed.- Adherence to required flu vaccination policy, no exemptions allowed.- Completion of 28-hour orientation is required.- Required to wear ceil blue scrubs, which are not provided.
