Job Title:Automotive Master Certified TechnicianLocation:1300 W. Hwy 287 Bypass Waxahachie, TX 75165Job Overview:The Master Certified Tech/ Lead Technician is responsible for maintaining workflow and work distribution among technicians. This role works closely with the Service Manager to oversee the quality of work on guests vehicles and shop efficiency.We are looking for technicians/mechanics who are energetic, upbeat and have a positive attitude. The technicians we are looking for have to seek out solutions to tough problems with a strong passion for doing whats right for our guests.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Work with the service department to distribute work to techniciansManage and oversee individual technician workloads and overall workflow in the service areaOversee technician team progress through internal training requirements and coach

technicians to prepare for certificationsTrain and mentor new techniciansHelp other technicians diagnose and repair vehicles when necessary (i.e., misdiagnosis, employee development, etc.)Conduct quarterly technician performance touchpoints to establish and monitor the progress of career goals and employee performanceManage technician team-building opportunitiesEducate technician team to uphold brand and quality standards of the

team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectivelyManage and maintain shop supplies and equipmentMonitor bulk fluid levelsMonitor shop efficiency through technician hours reports and ticket audit processManage scan tool subscriptionsDistribute shop housekeeping tasks among all technicians by promoting our high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organizationManage and oversee technician work scheduleEnforce safety regulations and protocolsWork closely with the service department and effectively communicate guest concerns and assist with guest complaint resolution when necessary

QualificationsQualifications:Positive attitude and a desire to serve guests7+ years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanicExcellent automotive diagnostic skillsA strong investment in toolsAbility to Flag 30+ hours per week - depending on the shop needsASE A1-A8 Certifications required; ASE Master L1 preferredCapable of diagnosing and repairing all makes/models of vehiclesMeet or exceed hourly goalsAptitude for learning additional skills and processesProfessional appearance and strong communicationA desire for long-term career developmentPhysical Requirements:Occasionally lift and/or move over 50 poundsBe able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their headWork in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicles needed repairHave the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand toolsWalk/stand for the majority of their workdayDrive manual transmission vehiclesEfficiently navigate a computer
