This is a permanent role that will provide critical support to our legal team by managing and organizing legal documents, preparing and editing legal documents, and handling electronic filing. This role will also involve managing motion practice procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial litigation and a deep understanding of the legal processes and principles. Responsibilities: Manage and maintain all aspects of litigation files, including document management, document editing, and electronic filing. Assist in the preparation, drafting, and editing of legal documents such as pleadings, discovery, and motions. Coordinate and manage the motion practice procedures, including the scheduling of hearings, preparing and filing notices, and tracking deadlines. Liaise with courts, clients, and opposing counsel to coordinate and schedule hearings, depositions, and meetings. Conduct legal research to support case preparation and provide relevant information to the legal team. Ensure all legal documents are correctly formatted, proofread, and free of errors before filing. Maintain a comprehensive and organized filing system to ensure all documents can be retrieved quickly and efficiently. Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.Qualifications: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Commercial Litigation Assistant or similar role. Extensive experience in document management, document editing, motion practice, and electronic filing. Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and federal and state rules of civil procedure. Proficiency in using legal software for document management and electronic filing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, to deliver high-quality work under pressure. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to anticipate the needs of the legal team. Bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field is preferred.
