We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Department Manager for our rapidly growing construction company. This is a permanent position, offering the chance to work on some of the most exciting construction projects in the industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring the successful completion of projects, and driving the company's growth. As a Department Manager, you will be responsible for:1. Overseeing the daily construction requirements and ensuring smooth operations.2. Managing the underground utilities, power, and natural gas aspects of our projects.3. Resolving contracts, change orders, and managing vendor relationships.4. Providing executive reporting on project progress, budget, and other key metrics.5. Implementing and managing change within the organization to meet project goals.6. Ensuring quality control and adherence to safety standards across all projects.7. Providing exceptional client support, addressing and resolving any issues or concerns.8. Managing project schedules, ensuring timelines are met and projects are delivered on time.9. Managing project budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and financial efficiency.10. Overseeing plumbing works, ensuring they meet industry standards and project specifications.11. Managing supervisors and other staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional growth.12. Forecasting future project needs, including staffing, resources, and budgeting.The ideal candidate for the Department Manager position will have:1. A minimum of 7 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on underground utilities, power, and natural gas.2. Proven experience in resolving contracts and managing change orders.3. Strong expertise in executive reporting and managing daily construction requirements.4. Demonstrated ability in change management and vendor management.5. Exceptional client support skills, with a focus on providing high-quality service.6. A strong understanding of quality control processes within the construction industry.7. Experience in managing project schedules and budgets.8. Expertise in plumbing and other key construction areas.9. Proven experience in managing supervisors and leading teams.10.
