This position plays a crucial role in managing environmental regulatory submissions and collaborating with the broader Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) team on various initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesEnvironmental Compliance Prepare and file comprehensive environmental documentation in response to agency inquiries. Oversee compliance with environmental regulations and programs at the facility level, including but not limited to:o Air quality permits and emissions assessments.o Notifications and permits for aboveground storage tanks.o Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) compliance.o Registration and management of pesticides per Federal and state guidelines.o Conduct inspections and sampling for industrial stormwater.o Ensure adherence to industrial wastewater permitting and reporting requirements.o Manage waste disposal processes, including documentation for hazardous and non-hazardous waste.o Prepare and submit permit applications and compliance reports.o Gather and analyze environmental data.o Coordinate and facilitate employee training on compliance matters.o Conduct site audits and assessments to ensure adherence to standards.o Support agency inspections and training exercises, including emergency response drills.Business Support and Safety Compliance Foster a culture of safety by promoting awareness and preventive measures; investigate incidents and implement corrective actions as needed. Collaborate across departments to build effective working relationships and address compliance challenges. Work alongside leadership to review and update safety and environmental policies; ensure that practices align with regulatory requirements and company standards. Conduct regular audits of facilities to confirm compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Oversee specific compliance reporting tasks as assigned.Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. Experience: 2-3 years in a role involving environmental regulations. Strong organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and basic data management software. Ability to navigate physically demanding environments, including climbing stairs and working in varied temperature conditions. Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.Preferred Qualifications OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification. Familiarity with GIS, VISIO, or CAD software.Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods in diverse work environments. Capable of wearing personal protective equipment, such as respirators and chemical suits.
