We are on the hunt for a dynamic, meticulous, and driven Accounts Receivable Manager to join our fast-paced construction company. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to spearhead the accounts receivable department and drive the financial success of our business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for driving efficiency and accuracy in the financial sector of our business.

Responsibilities:

As our Accounts Receivable Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing all aspects of our accounts receivable function. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing the daily operations of the accounts receivable department to ensure all financial transactions are processed accurately and timely.2. Preparing and sending Notice of Subcontract letters to all subcontractors.3. Managing the application and tracking of unapplied cash, ensuring all payments are correctly allocated.4. Developing and implementing effective accounts receivable processes and policies.5. Conducting credit checks and setting up new client accounts.6. Resolving any issues or discrepancies relating to invoices or payments.7. Preparing and presenting regular financial reports to senior management.8. Collaborating with other departments to improve and streamline financial procedures.9. Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.10. Training and mentoring accounts receivable staff to ensure a high level of competency and efficiency.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following:

1. A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounts receivable role, preferably within the construction industry.3. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.4. Strong understanding of accounting principles, credit control, and collections.5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of the organization.6. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.7. Strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.8. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make sound decisions.9. A strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion.10. An ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
