This role involves analyzing project specifications, collaborating with project managers and stakeholders, and ensuring that all estimates align with company standards and client expectations.Key Responsibilities: Estimate Preparation: Develop detailed cost estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and requirements. This includes performing quantity takeoffs and determining material, labor, and equipment costs. Bid Compilation: Compile bids for projects, ensuring all necessary information is included and accurate. Submit bids in a timely manner and follow up as needed. Project Analysis: Review and interpret blueprints and technical documents to assess project scope and feasibility. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations. Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Obtain and evaluate bids from vendors and subcontractors. Ensure quotes meet project specifications and negotiate pricing when necessary. Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on project estimates. Address any concerns or questions related to cost estimates. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain organized records of all estimates, proposals, and related documents. Prepare detailed reports for management review.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction cost estimation, preferably in commercial projects. Proficiency with industry-standard estimating software and strong mathematical skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
