TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Lafayette, Indiana, 47905 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical Surgical - Ortho/Neuro Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:00 - 06:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 18 months required License: For start dates 2-4 weeks out, must have Indiana or compact license in hand. For start dates 4 weeks out, must have started the Indiana/compact licensing process. Certifications: BCLS, NIH required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Med/Surg experience - Pre/post neurosurgery care - Total joint replacements - Trauma Level I, II, III, or IV experience - IV start skills required - Ortho trauma experience - Interpretation/management of dysrhythmias preferred Job Description: - Provide care in an Orthopedic/Neurosurgery unit including: - Orthopedic, GYN, Urology, Neurosurgery, and medical patients - Total joint replacements - Continuous bladder irrigation - Hysterectomy, chest tubes - ENT surgery, all bone fractures - Management of various medical diagnoses (e.g., COPD, Pneumonia, UTI, Cellulitis, COVID, Small Bowel Obstruction) - First-time travelers accepted - Shift requirements include 3x12 or 4x12 nights, with every other weekend - Will collaborate with RN to balance preference and unit needs - Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals - Staffing ratios of 1:5-6 - Two supervisor references required - Orientation requires 12 hours of non-billable time Additional Details: - Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays - Orientation consists of 12 hours - Local residents are not accepted for certain positions - Floating is mandatory for all travelers 26146817EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA Core Competency Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing Adapting to new facilities and teams challenges your problem-solving skills.
