TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Lewiston, Maine, 04240 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: ICU Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: 2 years of ICU experience required License: Active nursing license required by start date Certifications: ACLS Must-Have: Cerner experience for first-time travelers, Trauma/Neuro experience Job Description: - Accepts first-time travelers only with Cerner experience. - Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted. - Target nurse-patient ratios: 1:1-3, based on acuity. - No on-call requirement. - Flexible floating to CICU, MS, Tele, and ER as needed. - Weekend shifts required: 3 weekends per 6-week schedule block. - Treats conditions including, but not limited to, sepsis, shock, multi-organ failure, respiratory failure, trauma, neuro/brain injuries, complicated surgeries, stroke, and encephalopathy. - Access to a unit-based educator available Monday through Friday and PRN. - Utilizes safe-patient handling equipment such as ceiling lifts, hoyer lifts, and sit-to-stand lifts. - Equipment: Baxter Sigma Spectrum IV Pumps. - Systems used: Omnicell for medication, Cerner for documentation, SBAR for communication. - Required attire: Navy Blue scrubs. - Vaccination requirements: COVID-19 vaccine not required, flu vaccine status unknown. Applicants should ensure readiness for immediate fit testing upon arrival. Housing options may be provided at a reduced rate, including shared and private units with essential amenities.
